Frequently asked questions
Briefly answered.
What does a 3D print cost?
The price comes from the amount of material and the printing time. After your enquiry you receive a fixed, non-binding quote, with no hidden costs and no surprise on the invoice.
And what does the design work cost?
The design share is charged by design time: €20 per hour. In the quote the amount is then a fixed price: it does not change, even if I need longer than expected.
I do not have a 3D file. Is that still possible?
Yes, that is exactly what the design service is for. A sketch, a photo or a good description is enough to start; I build the model from that for you.
How large can my part be?
The build volume measures 256 × 256 × 256 mm. If your object does not fit in one piece, we look together at whether it can sensibly be split into segments and joined afterwards.
How quickly do I get a reply?
As a rule within twelve hours. If an enquiry arrives at night, the reply is usually there in the morning.
How long does my job take?
Printing: usually 1–4 days. Design: 1–7 days. Both depend on size and complexity, the specific date is stated in your quote.
Do you also print in multiple colours?
Yes: up to four colours or four materials in a single print, thanks to AMS, with no gluing or re-clamping. The only exception is TPU, which runs separately.
Which files can I send?
STL, OBJ, STEP and 3MF I can process directly. A link to your cloud storage is enough, the form has its own field for that.
How do I get my object and how do I pay?
Collection in Munich by arrangement or shipping throughout Germany with DHL GoGreen, as a letter or a parcel. Payment is by PayPal or bank transfer; you always receive an invoice, whether you order privately or as a business.
